Bean Queen

Bean queen is a piece of gay slang, sometimes expanded to "rice and bean queen," for a man, usually white, whose attraction focuses chiefly on Hispanic and Latino men. It belongs to a family of "queen" terms that pair a food or cultural label with a racial preference, and it emerged in late 20th-century North American gay communities. The phrasing is widely regarded as derogatory or reductive because it defines people by ethnicity and treats an entire group as a type. Some men use it casually or self-descriptively, but many find it fetishizing. It sits inside a larger conversation about the line between genuine attraction and racial objectification.
