Genderfluid Flag

The genderfluid flag was designed by JJ Poole in 2012 to represent people whose gender identity is not fixed and can move or change over time. It has five horizontal stripes: pink for femininity, white for the lack of gender or all genders, purple for a mix of masculinity and femininity or androgyny, black for all other genders, and blue for masculinity. Together the colors capture the wide range of experiences within genderfluid identity, from feeling strongly one gender on a given day to feeling several at once or none at all. The flag is a common symbol of solidarity for a community that lives beyond a single fixed gender.
