Agender Flag

The agender flag was created in 2014 by a designer known as Salem X to represent agender people, who feel they have no gender or do not identify with any gender. It has seven horizontal stripes arranged symmetrically: black and white at the outer edges represent the absence of gender, gray bands closer to the center represent being partly or semi-genderless, and a single green stripe in the middle represents nonbinary genders (green is often used because it is the inverse of purple, a color long tied to gender identity). The symmetrical design makes it recognizable and reinforces the idea of an identity that sits outside the traditional gender binary.
