Bear Pride Flag

The Bear Pride Flag, also called the International Bear Brotherhood Flag, was designed by Craig Byrnes in 1995 to represent the bear subculture. It has seven horizontal stripes in dark brown, orange or rust, golden yellow, tan, white, gray, and black, with a bear paw print in the upper left corner. Unlike flags built around human skin tones, its colors are meant to evoke the range of fur seen across bear species around the world, a nod to the community's varied bodies and backgrounds. It appears at bear runs, bar nights, and Pride events worldwide as a signal of welcome and belonging for larger, hairier gay and bisexual men and their admirers.
