The Challenge
Most agencies will market your app. Very few can build it. Gaydar is a dating app for the LGBTQ+ community, and it is the clearest proof of how we work: we did not consult on the product, we shipped it.
Dating apps are among the hardest consumer products to build. Real-time messaging, location features, safety and privacy controls for a community where privacy is not optional, payments, moderation, and an App Store review process that shows no mercy. The work demanded a full product team. We were the product team.
The Strategy
We built Gaydar on the same AI-first operating model that runs our agency. A small senior team, multiplied by internal AI infrastructure, shipped what would traditionally take a much larger organization: the iOS app, the companion web app, the backend, and the growth systems around them.
Strategy decisions came from live data, not opinion. Acquisition, activation, and retention were instrumented from the first build, so every release answered to numbers.
What We Built
- A native iOS app launched to the Apple App Store, with a companion web app sharing the same backend
- The full backend: real-time messaging, matching, presence, payments, moderation, and security hardening
- A growth experimentation system that proposes, vets, and measures A/B experiments with AI in the loop
- Paid acquisition across Meta and Google, wired to install and activation tracking from day one
The Results
Gaydar is live on the Apple App Store with a companion web app, a hardened backend, and a growth machine that keeps testing after launch day. Product, infrastructure, acquisition, and analytics were delivered by one team, ours.
For founders, this is the case study to read. It is the difference between an agency that talks about being AI-first and one that can hand you an App Store link as evidence.
