Circuit Gay

Circuit gay is an informal, community term for a man, usually gay or bisexual, who is immersed in the circuit party scene. Circuit parties are large, high-production dance events that move from city to city, drawing thousands of attendees for weekends built around all-night music. Someone described as a circuit gay tends to follow this calendar, traveling to marquee events and building social life around them. The scene is known for electronic music, shirtless crowds, and elaborate staging. It carries a rich place in gay culture and has also drawn criticism for narrow beauty standards and, in some corners, recreational drug use. The label is mostly used casually and can be worn with pride or applied as a stereotype.
