LGBTQ+ culture, also called queer culture, is the shared set of experiences, values, and creative expressions of LGBTQ+ people. It is not one single culture but many overlapping ones, including distinct gay men's, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender traditions, plus subcultures like ballroom, drag, and camp. It has given the wider world enormous influence in music, fashion, film, dance, and slang. Recurring themes include chosen family, resilience in the face of stigma, humor as survival, and public celebration through Pride. Not everyone who is LGBTQ+ identifies with this culture, and that is a personal choice. The culture keeps evolving as new generations and communities add to it.
