Atlantic House, universally called the A-House, is a landmark gay bar and nightclub in Provincetown, Massachusetts. The building dates to 1798, when it was constructed by the town's first postmaster, and it became a gathering place for LGBTQ+ visitors around the 1950s. Today it bills itself as one of the oldest continuously operating gay bars in the country and the only year-round gay nightclub on Cape Cod. Spread across the Little Bar, the Macho Bar, and a dance club, the A-House has hosted generations of queer travelers, performers, and drag shows. It sits at the heart of Provincetown, one of the most historically significant LGBTQ+ destinations in the United States.
