Provincetown / P-Town
Provincetown, or P-Town, is a town at the tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, that has been one of the most established LGBTQ+ destinations in the United States for over a century.
Provincetown, known affectionately as P-Town, sits at the very tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. An old fishing village and artists' colony, it grew into one of the most established LGBTQ+ destinations in the country, with a year-round queer community and summer crowds of gay men, lesbians, and queer travelers from around the world. Its roots as a welcoming place stretch back well over a century, and the town now hosts a calendar of themed gatherings including Bear Week, Carnival, Women's Week, Family Week, and Trans Week. The mix of beaches, arts culture, and open acceptance has made P-Town a refuge and community anchor for generations of LGBTQ+ people.
