Flexible describes someone whose sexual roles or attractions are not fixed; it signals openness to more than one position, dynamic, or partner type.
In sexual and dating contexts, flexible signals that a person's preferences are open rather than locked in. For gay and bisexual men it often means comfort with both topping and bottoming, similar to versatile. More broadly it can describe someone open about the genders they are drawn to or the kinds of dynamics they enjoy. The word shows up frequently on dating and hookup profiles as a low-pressure way to say "I go with what feels right in the moment" instead of committing to one label. It communicates adaptability and willingness to negotiate rather than a rigid identity, and it leaves room for chemistry to shape what actually happens.
