MAL (Mid-Atlantic Leather)

Mid-Atlantic Leather Weekend, known as MAL, is one of the largest leather and kink community events in the United States. It is hosted by the Centaur Motorcycle Club, a Washington, D.C. leather and motorcycle club founded in 1970, and takes place every January, centered on the Hyatt Regency in the city. What began in 1976 as a bar night grew into a weekend that now draws thousands of attendees from across the country and abroad. The program includes the Mr. Mid-Atlantic Leather contest, a marketplace of vendors, social and dance events, and fundraising for LGBTQ+ and community causes. MAL is a fixture of the leather calendar and a space for community, mentorship, and tradition.
