Kink
Kink is an umbrella term for non-conventional sexual interests and practices, including BDSM, fetishes, role-play, and power exchange.
Kink covers a broad range of sexual interests, fantasies, and practices that fall outside conventional or "vanilla" sex, including BDSM (bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, sadism and masochism), fetishes, role-play, and power exchange. For many LGBTQ+ people, kink can be a valid and affirming form of self-expression and connection. Kink communities place heavy emphasis on consent, communication, and care, often framed through models like "Safe, Sane, and Consensual" (SSC) or "Risk-Aware Consensual Kink" (RACK). What counts as kinky is subjective and personal, defined by its difference from whatever a person considers ordinary.
