Bator

A bator (from "masturbator," shortened to "bate") is someone, typically a man, for whom masturbation is a primary and intentional sexual practice rather than just a substitute for partnered sex. Bators often gather in person at jack-off clubs, which grew popular in the late 1980s partly as safer-sex spaces, or connect online through sites built around the community. Many describe extended solo or group sessions aimed at prolonging pleasure and reaching a trance-like "goon" state rather than rushing to climax. The subculture, sometimes called solosexuality, has a strong presence among gay and bisexual men and emphasizes pleasure, camaraderie, and self-acceptance.
