Breeder

Breeder is a slang term that some LGBTQ+ people, and some child-free people, use to refer to heterosexual people, particularly those who reproduce. It plays on the literal sense of breeding and usually carries a mocking or dismissive tone. The word emerged partly as a pointed response to anti-gay slurs and to heteronormative assumptions that straight, child-raising life is the default. Depending on who says it and how, it ranges from light in-group teasing to a genuine insult. Many people find it derogatory regardless of intent, so it lands very differently across settings and speakers.
