Cocksucker

Cocksucker is a vulgar term for someone who performs oral sex on a penis. For much of the twentieth century it was hurled as a homophobic insult, aimed especially at gay and bisexual men, and it still carries that sting in most everyday settings. Like other reclaimed slurs, some queer people have taken the word back and use it among themselves as blunt, sometimes playful or defiant self-description. Whether it reads as an attack or an in-joke depends almost entirely on who is speaking, to whom, and in what setting. Outside of consensual queer contexts it remains an offensive term.
