Darcelle XV Showpiece

Darcelle XV Showplace is a landmark drag cabaret in Portland, Oregon, opened in 1967 by Walter Willard Cole, who performed as Darcelle XV. Guinness World Records certified Cole as the world's oldest performing drag queen in 2016, when he was 85, and he kept headlining shows at his own club until his death in 2023 at age 92, with an entertainment career spanning more than five decades. The venue is one of the longest-running drag houses in the United States and a cornerstone of Portland's LGBTQ+ history. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places, and the show has continued after Cole's passing, carrying on the glittering revue he built.
