Drag Feather Pride Flag
The Feather Pride Flag is a symbol for the drag community, featuring a phoenix to represent rebirth and the passion of drag performance.
The Feather Pride Flag is one of the earliest banners created specifically for the drag community. Artist Sean Campbell designed it in 1999, placing a phoenix at its center as a symbol of rebirth and the fire of passion, tied to the way drag performers have long raised awareness and money for community causes. It is meant to represent drag queens, kings, their courts, and the wider culture around them as an art form in its own right, distinct from but connected to the broader LGBTQ+ community. Other drag flags followed later, including one from a 2016 Austin International Drag Festival contest, but the Feather Pride Flag remains the original drag pride symbol.
