Exhibitionist

An exhibitionist is a person who is aroused by the idea or reality of being observed while naked or engaged in sexual activity. Practiced with the knowledge and consent of everyone who might see, it is a common and unremarkable kink explored in relationships, kink communities, sex parties, and online spaces. The key line is consent. When arousal centers on exposing oneself to people who have not agreed to see it, that is nonconsensual and can be harmful and illegal. Clinicians distinguish everyday exhibitionism from exhibitionistic disorder, a diagnosis that applies only when the behavior involves unsuspecting people or causes real distress or harm. Consensual exhibitionism is a matter of preference, not a disorder.
