InterPride

InterPride is the international organization that advances the Pride movement, connecting hundreds of Pride organizations worldwide and licensing WorldPride.

InterPride is a global network of more than 375 Pride organizations across 70 or more countries, working to coordinate and strengthen the Pride movement on every continent. It began in 1982 as the National Association of Lesbian and Gay Pride Coordinators, formed by a handful of U.S. Pride organizers in Boston, and adopted the name InterPride in 1999 as its membership grew international. The organization licenses and awards WorldPride, runs global grant and solidarity programs, and supports the visibility and development of Pride networks, especially in the Global South. Its stated mission is to achieve legal, social, and cultural equity for what it calls SOGIESC communities, meaning people of diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, and sex characteristics.
