K-Hole

A K-hole is a slang term for the profound dissociative state that comes with high doses of ketamine, a drug developed in the 1960s as an anesthetic. In a K-hole, a person can feel completely cut off from their body and surroundings, often unable to move or respond, sometimes with an out-of-body sensation, visual hallucinations, or a feeling of melting into the room. Some describe it as euphoric, others as frightening. The term appears in some LGBTQ+ nightlife and chemsex conversations.
