Objective Physical

"Objective physical" is not a formal clinical term, but it appears in some discussions of attraction to describe a pull toward a person's observable traits: their body, features, and overall appearance. It is usually contrasted with subjective attraction, which grows from personality, emotional connection, or a sense of who someone is. People sometimes use this distinction to think through how attraction to a person's gender presentation may differ from, or overlap with, attraction to their gender identity. Because usage varies and no single authority defines it, the phrase is best treated as a loose descriptive framework rather than an established category of sexual orientation. Standard models of orientation focus on sexual and romantic attraction more broadly.
