In digital slang the peach, most often the 🍑 emoji, stands in for the buttocks. What began as a piece of fruit became visual shorthand once people noticed the emoji's rounded, cleft shape, and it spread quickly through gay male culture and the wider internet as a flirty way to signal attraction or sexual interest without spelling it out. Its meaning is now widely understood well beyond LGBTQ+ spaces.
