Piss play refers to consensual sexual activity that incorporates urine, whether being urinated on, urinating on a partner, or arousal from the sight, sound, or smell of it. It is commonly called watersports or golden showers, and clinicians use the terms urolagnia or urophilia. It has a visible following in gay leather and kink communities, where partners negotiate the activity in advance and treat it as an intimate, boundary-pushing form of play. On safety, urine is not sterile and can carry some infections, so sexual health groups suggest avoiding contact with broken skin, the eyes, and swallowing, and testing regularly. As with any kink, consent, negotiation, and hygiene are the foundation.
