Brownie Queen

Brownie queen is a piece of older gay slang for the receptive or passive partner in anal intercourse, contrasted with brownie king for the insertive or active partner. It combines slang uses of brown, referring to anal sex, with queen, a long-standing gay slang word whose meaning shifts by context. The term appears in mid-twentieth-century slang glossaries and is largely dated today, rarely heard in contemporary conversation where bottom and top are the common words. Like many older sexual-role terms, it can read as crude or dismissive depending on who uses it and how, so it is best understood as historical vocabulary rather than current everyday language.
