Choke
Choke, or breath play, is a high-risk BDSM practice involving consensual restriction of a partner's breathing for arousal.
Choke, also called breath play or erotic asphyxiation, is a form of edge play in which airflow or blood flow is briefly and consensually restricted for sexual arousal. It is widely regarded as one of the most dangerous kink activities. Restricting oxygen to the brain can cause fainting, injury, or death, and experts note there is no fully safe way to do it even with a trusted partner and precautions. Health and BDSM safety educators generally advise against it, and doing it alone (autoerotic asphyxiation) is far more dangerous because a person can pass out before releasing the restriction. Anyone who chooses to explore it needs sober consent, clear signals, education, and never mixing it with drugs or alcohol.
