Chubby Chaser

A chubby chaser, sometimes shortened to "chaser," is a person who is primarily romantically or sexually attracted to larger-bodied or fat partners. The term is most associated with gay and queer men's communities, where it connects to the wider chub and bear cultures that celebrate bigger bodies. Some people embrace it as a reclaimed, positive label and encourage chasers to be open about their attraction rather than hiding it. Others critique the "chaser" framing for reducing people to a single physical trait. Conversations within these communities increasingly center the agency, self-acceptance, and full humanity of fat people themselves, rather than only the people who desire them.
