Cum shot, sometimes called the money shot, is a term from the adult film industry describing a scene that shows visible ejaculation on camera. It became a standard convention of both gay and straight pornography, used to visually signal the climax of a scene. The phrase belongs to the vocabulary of adult entertainment and sexual culture rather than to medicine or health. Outside of porn, people occasionally use money shot more loosely to mean the single most striking or payoff moment in any piece of media, a usage that traces back to this origin.
