Jack’D
Jack'd is a location-based dating and chat app for gay and bisexual men, widely used by queer and bisexual men of color.
Jack'd is a location-based dating and social app for gay and bisexual men, launched in 2010. It built a strong following among Black, Latino, and other queer men of color, and markets itself as one of the largest dating apps for QPOC (queer people of color). Like other geosocial apps, it lets users browse nearby profiles, chat, and match. The app has faced scrutiny over privacy: in 2019 its parent company, Online Buddies, agreed to pay New York State $240,000 to settle a complaint after a flaw left users' private photos exposed. Jack'd remains an active platform focused on community and connection within LGBTQ+ communities of color.
