Lady Bunny, born Jon Ingle in 1962, is an American drag queen, nightclub DJ, comedian, actor, and event organizer who has been a defining figure in New York City queer nightlife since the 1980s. She founded Wigstock, the annual outdoor drag festival that grew out of the East Village scene and helped bring drag to a wider audience. An early friend and scene-mate of RuPaul, with whom she once shared an apartment, Lady Bunny is known for her towering wigs, raunchy humor, and sharp political commentary. She served as Dean of Drag and a judge on RuPaul's Drag U from 2010 to 2012, and has toured one-woman comedy shows. She remains a respected elder of the drag world.
