Pansexual (Pan)

Pansexual, sometimes shortened to pan, describes a sexual, romantic, or emotional orientation toward people of all genders, or attraction regardless of a person's gender. The prefix pan comes from the Greek word for all. For many pansexual people, gender simply is not a defining factor in who they are drawn to, with other qualities like personality or physical attraction mattering more. Pansexuality is sometimes distinguished from bisexuality by its explicit framing around all genders, though many people use the two terms in overlapping ways and neither is more inclusive or evolved than the other. It is one orientation among many, and has grown in visibility and use, especially among younger generations.
