Physical Attraction

Physical attraction is being drawn to another person because of their body, looks, or sensory presence, distinct from romantic or sexual desire.

Physical attraction is the pull you feel toward someone based on their appearance, body, or sensory qualities. It is one of several recognized dimensions of attraction, sitting alongside sexual, romantic, emotional, aesthetic, and sensual attraction, and it can exist on its own without any of the others. This more precise vocabulary grew largely out of asexual and aromantic communities, where people wanted language for the fact that you can admire or feel drawn to a person's looks without wanting sex or a relationship with them. Naming physical or aesthetic attraction as its own strand helps people describe their experience honestly instead of assuming every kind of attraction always travels together.
