Periodt

Periodt is an emphatic spelling of "period," used at the end of a statement to signal that the matter is settled and there is nothing more to say. The added "t" gives it extra punch. The term comes from African American Vernacular English and was popularized within Black gay and drag communities before spreading through social media and so-called stan culture into wider use. It often appears in the phrase "and that's on periodt." Because it carries the flavor of the Black queer culture that shaped it, some writers note that its mainstream popularity is an example of slang being borrowed from those origins without much credit.
