Pomosexual

Pomosexual is a blend of postmodern and sexual, describing a person who rejects, avoids, or simply does not fit the usual labels for sexual orientation such as gay, straight, bisexual, or asexual. The idea traces to the 1997 anthology PoMoSexuals and to queer theory's broader argument that identity categories are social constructs rather than fixed truths. A pomosexual person may or may not feel attraction, and may feel it toward anyone, but chooses not to define or specify it. The point is not a particular pattern of desire but a refusal of the framework itself. Some see labels as clarifying and affirming, while pomosexual people experience them as limiting, and prefer to leave their attraction undefined.
