Progress Pride Flag

The Progress Pride Flag is a redesign created in 2018 by artist Daniel Quasar. It keeps the traditional six-stripe rainbow flag and adds an arrow-shaped chevron along the left edge with black and brown stripes, representing LGBTQ+ people of color and those lost to HIV/AIDS, plus the light blue, pink, and white of the transgender flag. The chevron points right to signal that progress toward equality is still needed and that the community's most marginalized members deserve to be centered. In 2021, activist Valentino Vecchietti built on the design to create the Intersex-Inclusive Progress Pride Flag, adding a yellow field and purple circle from Morgan Carpenter's 2013 intersex flag.
