Scat
Scat, clinically called coprophilia, is a sexual interest involving feces, considered an edge kink practiced by a small minority within BDSM communities.
Scat refers to sexual play involving feces. The clinical term is coprophilia, from the Greek words for excrement and fondness, describing arousal from viewing, smelling, or handling feces. In psychiatric classification it is treated as a paraphilia and only rises to a disorder when it causes distress, harm, or involves someone who has not consented. It is rare, with surveys suggesting it affects roughly one percent of the general population and somewhat more within sadomasochistic communities. Within kink, including parts of gay male culture, scat is regarded as an advanced or edge practice that demands careful negotiation, clear consent, and attention to real health risks, since contact with feces can transmit bacteria and infection. It remains heavily stigmatized even in kink-accepting spaces.
