Sexuality

Sexuality is a broad term for the part of human experience that involves sexual and romantic attraction, desire, behavior, and identity. It is shaped by a mix of biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors, and it is closely tied to but distinct from gender identity. Sexuality is not a single fixed trait. It exists on spectrums, and people do not have to fit neatly into one category to be valid. For many people, sexuality is stable across life. For others it is fluid, evolving over time, or simply resistant to easy labels. In LGBTQ+ contexts, respecting how a person names their own sexuality is a basic form of dignity.
