Wildrose

The Wildrose is a lesbian bar on the corner of East Pike Street and 11th Avenue in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. Serving the community since 1984, it is the city's only lesbian bar and one of the oldest in the country. As lesbian bars across the United States have closed at alarming rates, driven by gentrification, rising costs, and shifting social patterns, the Wildrose has endured for four decades as a gathering place for queer women, non-binary people, and the wider LGBTQ+ community. Now LGBTQ-owned, it hosts drag, drinks, and events, carrying forward a legacy of chosen family, celebration, and belonging.
