Alloromantic
Alloromantic describes a person who experiences romantic attraction to others.
Alloromantic describes a person who experiences romantic attraction, in contrast to being aromantic. The term gives the aromantic community language to describe people outside their own experience without defaulting to words like normal or typical. Alloromantic people feel drawn toward romantic relationships and the emotional intimacy associated with partnership. The word sits on the aromantic spectrum, which ranges from aromantic (little to no romantic attraction) to alloromantic (regular romantic attraction), with identities such as gray-romantic and demiromantic in between. Being alloromantic says nothing about sexual orientation: a person can be alloromantic and asexual, meaning they want romance without necessarily wanting partnered sex.
