Autoromantic

Autoromantic describes a person who experiences romantic attraction primarily or exclusively toward themselves.

Autoromantic describes a person whose romantic attraction is directed primarily or exclusively toward themselves. It is the romantic counterpart to autosexual, which refers to sexual attraction to oneself. Someone who is autoromantic may feel the emotional pull, intimacy, and affection of romance turned inward, experiencing a romantic relationship with themselves rather than seeking one with others. The term comes out of asexual and aromantic community discussions, where people separate romantic orientation from sexual orientation to describe the full range of how attraction is or is not experienced. Being autoromantic is not the same as vanity or narcissism. It is one identity among many that give people language for how they relate to love and connection.
