Drag Race

Drag Race, short for RuPaul's Drag Race, is an Emmy-winning reality competition series in which drag queens compete across design, performance, comedy, and lip-sync challenges.

Drag Race usually refers to RuPaul's Drag Race, an American reality competition series produced by World of Wonder. It premiered on Logo TV in 2009, later moved to VH1, and now airs on MTV, running for eighteen seasons and counting. Hosted and judged by RuPaul, the show has drag queens compete across challenges in fashion design, acting, comedy, and lip-sync, with contestants eliminated each week until a winner is crowned. It has become a major cultural force, winning many Emmy Awards, launching hundreds of performers' careers, and spawning spin-offs like All Stars and Untucked plus international editions in countries around the world. The franchise is widely credited with bringing drag into the mainstream.
