Untucked
Untucked describes releasing the genitals from a tuck, and it is also the name of the backstage RuPaul's Drag Race spin-off where queens relax and let their emotions out between challenges.
To be untucked is to undo a tuck, the practice used by many drag queens and some trans women of concealing the penis and testicles, often with a gaff or tape, to create a smoother feminine silhouette. Untucking means letting everything back to its natural position, physically and figuratively relaxing after being pulled tight. The word is best known as the title of Untucked, the long-running behind-the-scenes companion series to RuPaul's Drag Race. Filmed in the workroom lounge between and after challenges, Untucked shows the contestants out of the spotlight as they vent, celebrate, argue, and process the competition, giving the phrase a second meaning of dropping the polished act and being raw.
