Gaff
A gaff is a specialized undergarment that compresses and smooths the groin, used by trans women, drag performers, and others to create a flat front by tucking.
A gaff is a piece of compression underwear designed to flatten the appearance of the groin, often by holding a "tuck" comfortably and securely in place. Trans women, transfeminine people, drag queens, and anyone wanting a smoother front may wear one, either in daily life or on stage. Gaffs can be worn with or without a full tuck and fit under regular clothing much like a thong or shapewear. Commercial gaffs are made by many specialty and trans-owned retailers, and simple DIY versions can be made from a sock and an elastic band. Beyond appearance, a well-fitted gaff can support comfort, confidence, and a sense of gender affirmation.
