Equalpride

equalpride is a certified LGBTQ+ owned and operated media company headquartered in New York City. It is the parent of several of the longest-running names in queer publishing, including The Advocate and Out, along with Pride.com, Out Traveler, and Health PLUS Wellness. The company took its current form in 2022, when Equal Entertainment (led by CEO Mark Berryhill) acquired the former Pride Media portfolio and rebranded as equalpride. In 2026 it also acquired Them, the digital outlet founded by Condé Nast. Like much of the media industry, equalpride has gone through rounds of layoffs, but its titles remain central to LGBTQ+ news, culture, and storytelling in the United States.
