Gay Men’s Pride Flag

The gay men's pride flag is a banner used specifically for gay men, distinct from the rainbow flag that represents the whole LGBTQ community. The most widely used version, created by the Tumblr account gayflagblog in July 2019, uses a spectrum of stripes running from greens through a white center to blues. It was designed to give gay men, sometimes described as men loving men (MLM) or vincian, a symbol parallel to the lesbian, bisexual, and transgender flags. The blues echo the idea of attraction to men, while the greens are often read as community and nature. Unlike an officially chartered emblem, it spread informally online and has several proposed variants.
