When Ocean Meets Sky is a 2003 documentary directed by Crayton Robey that traces the history of Fire Island Pines, the resort community off the southern shore of Long Island, New York. The film follows the Pines from its founding in the mid-20th century through its role as a summer retreat for gay men, its devastation during the AIDS epidemic, and its reinvention in the decades that followed.
