Zie / Zim
Zie/zim is a set of gender-neutral neopronouns some non-binary people use as an alternative to he/him or she/her.
Zie/zim is one of several neopronoun sets built on the 'z' sound, used as a gender-neutral alternative to he/him and she/her. In a sentence it works like this: 'Zie went to the store, so I called zim.' Neopronouns are newly coined or adapted pronouns created to refer accurately to people whose gender is not captured by 'he' or 'she,' and the zie family has close cousins such as zie/zir and ze/hir. It is encountered less often than they/them or xe/xem, and spellings vary from person to person, so the reliable approach is simply to ask which set someone uses and then use it.
