Cupiosexual

Cupiosexual describes someone who feels little or no sexual attraction but still wants a sexual relationship.

Cupiosexual describes a person who experiences little or no sexual attraction yet still desires a sexual relationship. It falls on the asexual spectrum, and it captures the fact that wanting sex and feeling attraction are not the same thing. A cupiosexual person may enjoy sex or seek sexual intimacy for reasons like closeness, pleasure, or connection with a partner, even without the pull of attraction that many others feel. The name comes from the Latin "cupio," meaning "to desire." It helps explain why some asexual people still choose to have sex, which can otherwise seem contradictory. A romantic counterpart, cupioromantic, describes wanting a romantic relationship without feeling romantic attraction.
