Heartstopper

Heartstopper began as a webcomic that Alice Oseman posted on Tumblr and Tapas in 2016, growing into a bestselling graphic novel series published by Hachette in the UK and Scholastic in the US. It follows Charlie Spring, an openly gay teenager, and Nick Nelson, a rugby player who realizes through their friendship that he is bisexual, along with a wider cast that includes lesbian, trans, and asexual characters. Netflix adapted it into a warm coming-of-age series that premiered in 2022, with Joe Locke as Charlie and Kit Connor as Nick. Praised for its gentle, hopeful take on queer youth, Heartstopper has become one of the most beloved LGBTQ+ properties of the era. A concluding film, Heartstopper Forever, is set for release in 2026.
