Spit

Spit, in a sexual or kink context, refers to spitting on a partner or otherwise playing with saliva as a source of arousal. It is sometimes called a spit kink or spit play. Sex educators note it is often part of power exchange, where a dominant partner spitting on a submissive can function as degradation play, though not everyone experiences it that way. For some the appeal is the intimacy or intensity of saliva itself rather than any power dynamic. What turns it from an insult into pleasure is context and consent. As with all kink, it depends on clear communication, negotiation beforehand, and the ability of either person to stop at any point. Some people also weigh hygiene considerations.
