Tina (T)

Tina, sometimes shortened to T, is a slang name for crystal methamphetamine used within parts of the gay, bisexual, and MSM community. The name is widely understood as a coded way to reference meth, likely a play on the word crystal or on the name Christina. It is closely tied to chemsex, also called party and play or PnP, where drugs are used to intensify or extend sexual activity. Meth is highly addictive and produces a long, intense high followed by a severe comedown. Its use is linked to lowered inhibitions, higher-risk sex, and increased HIV and STI exposure. LGBTQ+ health and harm-reduction services offer non-judgmental support, safer-use guidance, and treatment.
